Shyla’s Session: Sunshine, Laughter & Magazine-Worthy Moment
There are photo sessions… and then there are Shyla sessions.
From the moment we kicked off in a random (but totally magical) field, I knew this session was going to be something special. The weather? Absolute perfection—like it was made just for her. No crazy winds, no surprise rain, not even a single mosquito dared to crash our shoot. Honestly, I was starting to feel like I was in a dream. Or maybe a really well-lit rom-com. Either way, I wasn’t mad about it.
We wandered, we talked, and we laughed—a lot. I found myself learning so much about Shyla, including the fact that she has some serious goals: she’s going to be an optometrist. Yes, this stunning, camera-loving girl plans to spend her future making sure you can see 20/20 while she’s out here looking like she just walked off the pages of a Vogue editorial. I mean, come on—save some talent for the rest of us, Shyla.
We wrapped up at Panther Creek State Park, and let me tell you… the grand finale? A creek. Just a girl and a creek. And somehow, she made it look like a high-end ad campaign for that cute dress and effortless beauty. If you’ve ever seen someone casually exist in water and think, “Yeah, she belongs in a magazine,” that was her. The twirl? Nailed it. The look-back-over-the-shoulder moment? Oscar-worthy. I just stood there in awe, clicking away like a proud mom at graduation.
I left the session with a full memory card, sore cheeks from smiling, and a newfound respect for girls who can stomp through nature, get their feet wet, and still look like a million bucks.
Shyla, thank you for bringing your joy, your big dreams, and your sweet sense of humor. I have no doubt that one day, patients will walk into your optometry office and say, “Wait… weren’t you that girl in the creek shoot?” And you’ll just smile and say, “Yep. That was me.”
