Oh, Miah. My Gorgeous Gorgeous Girl.
How in the world did I get so lucky?! Like seriously—who just casually travels from another state to get their senior photos done by me?! Miah did. That’s who. And I’m still over here cheesin’ from ear to ear about it!
Miah made the trip all the way from Illinois to the beautiful Smoky Mountains, and let me tell you… she brought the sunshine with her. From the minute she stepped out of the car, I knew this was going to be GOOD. Like, really good.
Four-year cheerleader? Check. Dreaming about the next big step after high school? Absolutely. We talked all about her hopes, dreams, and what’s next—and I’m just so excited for where she’s headed, wherever that may be.
We shot her session at Spring Creek Farm in Dandridge—my first time back this year—and the flowers totally showed out. The soft, glowy sunset and—the horses. Y’all. Miah got to pet them, love on them a little, and they were even sweet enough to walk right up and pose for a few photos like they’d been waiting for their moment. It was pure magic.
Let’s also talk about the chair situation. We had this idea to use a cute chair in the field… but someone failed at that. (I won’t name names. You know who you are. 😂) Luckily the farm came through in a clutch moment and had one we could use!
Miah was just a dream to photograph—those gorgeous eyes, that relaxed confidence, and a personality that’s so easy and fun to be around. And when she slipped into that long, flowing dress… whew. That was the moment it all came together. She looked like she walked right out of a movie scene.
What made it even more special? Her mom and grandmother were there cheering her on the whole time. Her mom captured the sweetest behind-the-scenes shots of me doing what I love, and Grandma was just beaming, soaking in this huge milestone moment. I love when families show up and pour love into their seniors the way they did.
Miah, I hope this session was everything you dreamed it would be. I’d photograph you again in a heartbeat. Your spirit is beautiful, and I’ll be cheering you on no matter where life takes you next.
