Kaylee – Sunrise, Soft Vibes, and a Little Moomoo Confession
Ohhh Kaylee. This girl showed up at sunrise and brought the calm. A Morristown East senior and one of my senior influencer (yes, she’s that girl!), Kaylee totally owned her session — from the first click to the last golden ray over the mountain.
We had this insane blanket of fog to start the morning - that you literally only dream of, and then BOOM — the most stunning sunrise rolled in, casting this dreamy glow over a field of tall grass. I swear, it looked like a movie scene. It felt quiet and calm and just right.
Her boyfriend came along for the session, and honestly? He was such a trooper. He held flowers, followed directions, and jumped in for the sweetest photos at the beginning and end. Boyfriend of the year nominee, for real. And I loved that she wanted him there — it made the session feel even more like her.
Now here’s a fun twist — Kaylee lives down the street from me! Which means if you see someone outside in a moomoo with a messy bun and coffee in hand… yeah, it’s probably me. Be sure to wave. And honk. Just not too loud — I might spill my cup. 😂
But let me get to what really stuck with me: Kaylee told me this was her first solo session ever. She was a little nervous at first (which is SO normal), but literally 10 minutes in, she said she felt totally comfortable and had such a good time. That meant the world to me. Because if there’s one thing I prioritize — more than the light, more than the location, more than the poses — it’s connection. I want my seniors to feel seen, heard, celebrated, and like they’re hanging out with a friend who just happens to have a camera.
Kaylee, thank you for letting me be part of this moment in your life. You’re soft and radiant and real, and that’s a beautiful combo. I can’t wait to see all the incredible things we photograph together over your senior year — and I’ll see ya around the neighborhood, moomoo and all. 😉
