Flowers, Faith, and a Whole Lotta Heat with Kayle
Kayle’s session was one of those evenings that just sticks with you. She showed up with her boyfriend in tow, and honestly, it was the sweetest thing. We headed to Spring Creek, and I swear the flowers were showing off just for her. Everything felt so peaceful, like the whole place was waiting for us to show up with our cameras.
Her boyfriend was an absolute champ—jumping in for photos, carrying things, and never once complaining about the heat (and trust me, it was the kind of hot where you start questioning your life choices). But the highlight? I asked them to read their favorite Bible verses to each other. The moment turned quiet except for the soft sounds of the creek and the breeze through the flowers. They smiled, laughed softly, and shared words that clearly meant something deep to them. It was beautiful, and though momentarily awkward - it was completely genuine.
Kayle is the type of senior you just can’t help but adore. She’s from Lakeway Christian, and her kindness radiates in a way that makes my job feel like the easiest thing in the world. Sure, we were both sweating like we’d run a marathon, but it didn’t matter. That smile of hers, the way the evening light caught her hair, the laughter she shared with him… all of it made the heat worth it.
Sessions like this remind me that I don’t just take photos—I get to witness moments that truly matter. And for that, I’m ridiculously thankful.
