The Rickers: Lots of love & A Whole Lotta Sweat
Let me just start by saying—this wedding was HOT. And I don’t mean just the kind of aww-they’re-such-a-cute-couple hot (though Kinsleigh and Dylan definitely qualify). I mean the kind of hot where you’re questioning all your life choices and wondering if you’ll ever feel a breeze again. The Barn at Maple Creek in Kingston gave us mid-July heat that was not for the faint of heart. Almost died hot. Okay, okay—enough dramatics. 😉
Now let’s get to the good part… Kinsleigh and Dylan. Y’all, these two are a match made in heaven—the kind of love story people spend their whole lives searching for. Watching them together made every bead of sweat worth it.
The first looks? Ohhh, prepare your tissues. She had special moments with her dad, her brother, and her grandfather—and I promise you, there wasn’t a dry eye in the place (including mine!). That’s the kind of love that runs deep, and I felt honored to capture it.
The wedding itself was simple, sweet, and just right. Surrounded by friends and family—not too many, not too few—just the perfect middle ground. The ceremony spot was a little harsh on the eyes with that blazing sun, but the backdrop? Absolutely stunning. And even though we may have sweat through our clothes (glamorous, I know), the day was downright perfect.
Heather’s Tennessee Summer Wedding Survival Tip: bring a fan, a gallon of water, and maybe a portable kiddie pool. Just kidding (sort of)… but seriously, hydration is key, y’all.
Kinsleigh and Dylan, your wedding was filled with joy, emotion, and so much love. I cannot wait to meet the newest addition to your sweet family soon!
